The MSc Nursing Studies (1 Year full time) programme prepares and advances students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to become confident, critical and analytical research aware graduates. The programme provides opportunities to explore research as evidence for enhancing and changing practice and aims to advance the student's aptitudes. The abilities to respond safely with sensitivity to the needs of individuals and families for local and international communities will be fostered in an articulate, proactive, innovative and collaborative way.
- Critically examine the knowledge and skills for problem solving, reflection and critical thinking, fundamental to professional development and advancing practice globally
- Critically evaluate evidence informing nursing practice in monitoring, co-ordinating and managing care across a variety of health care settings

The Department of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Limerick had much to celebrate recently as the first cohort of International students graduated with an MSc Nursing Studies award on the 20th Jan 2015.
